Well, this is what everyone asks when they are in the market for a gaming console. Which one is better? The answer, for me is simple, the Xbox is an adult gaming system. The controllers are made for an adult\'s hands, the graphics are better, it has a hard drive built in, so there is no need for a memory card, plus it has a built in ethernet port. Was the Xbox designed to please right out of the box and for years to come? Yes. The PS2, while a fine system has tiny controllers, and once you use your Xbox controllers they will seem even smaller. Ethernet is an add-on, memory cards are necessary if you want to save your games (duh) and it just doesn\'t have the juice the Xbox has.
Yes, you have probably noticed I have not answered the question of which is better yet. There is a simple answer to that, Grand Theft Auto. Yes, one game is the difference. And, last year, I thought PS2 was done, when they announced the release of Vice City (the 4th edition of Grand Theft Auto) on Xbox. Previously, the game was only available on PS2. That was reason enough to own a PS2...the game is that good.
Enter San Andreas, the new version of Grand Theft Auto. Once again, the PS2 has been saved. San Andreas is only available, as of this writing, for PS2. I have played this game...and, Rockstar has done it again. This game is leaps and bounds better than Vice City....which was the best game I had evern played...hands down. San Andreas is a life vacuum. Don\'t buy it, unless you know you are going to commit at least 1000 hours to the game...and, probably more.
